Ladies, ladies, ladies... Here are a few tips about taking pictures that will appeal to us Hair Enthusiasts! |
Don't Blend Your Hair Away! It is such a shame when backgrounds and clothes deprive the viewer of your beautiful hair by blending (6 pics) it away! |
Try This:
If your hair is dark, use a light background and wear light colors (2 pics). If your hair is light, use a dark background (2 pics) and wear dark colors (2 pics). |
Include Your Hair In Your Picture! Don't exclude your hair from the picture. I see too many pictures wherein the hair is long and beautiful, but straight down the back and the picture is a full frontal, completely hiding (2 pics) the length of the hair. Also, I see too many pictures where the hair is cut (2 pics) out of the picture, most often at the bottom (2 pics), but I've also seen more than my share of pictures with the top (2 pics) of the head cut out. |
Try This:
If you want to take a full frontal and you have long hair, drape your hair in front (2 pics) of your body, or try getting a "wind-blown" (2 pics) effect by moving your head just before snapping the picture. Moreover, a fan is a good substitute for the real wind. Lean (2 pics) your head forward and let your hair flow in front. This creates a very sensuous look! You can also opt for a profile, or side (2 pics) view. Another great look is the back (2 pics) view with the head turned to the camera. |
Don't Cut Your Hair "Just" To Get A Different Look! - There are many beautiful styles (4 pics) for longer hair. |
Try This:
Pull your hair back and leave a large bang (4 pics) hanging in your face. This also works well with several bangs (4 pics). Pull your hair back on one side and create a "Peek-a-Boo" (2 pics) style. This is often seen with short to medium length hair, but it is awesome with long hair! Braid (2 pics) a piece or a few pieces of your hair. You can also use these braids to create awesome effects (2 pics) in your hair. Also, try using hair Decorations (2 pics), or hair accessories(ribbons, berrettes, &c.). Use caution with hair accessories, however. Rubber bands and metal clips can damage hair. Hats (4 pics) are another way to change your look (but be careful not to wear a hat that takes away from your natural beauty. Another option is curling. Try curling (4 pics) your hair or parts of your hair for a sensuous look. |
